The name J’Whyson may be a silent name on the current Zambian music platform but it is one name that opened international doors for Zambian music, from receiving recognition awards from the Angolan government to winning the best Kizomba Album in Africa along side the legendary Sam Mangwana of Angola at a prestigious event hosted by the then Angolan Ambassador Pedro M Nétó to paving way for many artistes who go to perform in the U.S.A.

On the local scene, JWhyson has worked with all the top names and has contributed to the success of many too numerous to mention. He produced countless hits for various artistes that shot to fame i.e; The Third, Impi… to name but a few.

For most people the name sparks memories because of his oldy but goody single and title for his debut album ‘Everything Your Man is not’ famously called ‘Ona Mummy’ the original Kizomba version. With that song which also came with a video, and a controversial remix by JK, J’Whyson registered his name on the local scene, when into orbit with the stars and has stayed their since.

However, he has been silently making music and entertaining the Afro Carebean World while concentrating on other things. JWhyson who is also a film producer and visual fx artist took to the mic on his birthday 3rd May and released a second single after “I do, I do” which featured OC and this comes almost a decade after ‘Ona Mummy’, J’Whyson is back again singing love in his latest single called ‘Thinking of You’.This is a typical J’Whyson laid-back tune with a serious romantic approach.
